Hey there,
I'm Verity but most people call me Vee.
I'm the one behind the scrumptious nourishing recipes here at Hope & Saute.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me enjoying our beautiful Kapiti Coast, running round after my two beautiful girls and deep diving into the health science journals.
My journey with Hope & Saute began in 2020 during the NZ's first lockdown, inspired by a blend of my passions: food, nutrition, and photography I thought why not combine these and share what I love.
I love creating in the kitchen daily, making wholesome, simple recipes that actually taste good and love you back!
My kitchen is practically my second home, but let's rewind a bit.
Years of battling inflammatory health conditions like Endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, and chronic sinusitis led me to a turning point. Frustrated with vague answers and no root cause approach, I decided to listen to my body's SOS signals. And guess what? Food and lifestyle changes came to my rescue!
Thanks to some amazing nutritionists and naturopaths I crossed paths with, I'm now in control of my health and wellness.
I'm also on a new adventure! Currently, I'm diving into the world of Health science and retraining to becoming a Nutritionist and Naturopath.
Tess Guinery a beautiful artist and poet based in Australia spoke these words and they ring true to my ongoing journey:
