About the Recipe

A healthy breakfast full of healthy fats, fiber & protein - Hello ✨ The best way to start the day. And tastes like custard has been stirred through the porridge - Think French toast vibes!

This Custard porridge is creamy, delicious & quick to make.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups oats ( I used @chantal_organics oats )


2 1/2 - 3 cups water


1 tsp cinnamon


1 egg whisked


2 TBS milk ( I used almond )


Optional but will further boost this porridge 1/2 finely grated zucchini & 1 TBS chia seeds.

Preparation

Place oats & water in a small pot on medium heat and stir until oats are soft and creamy. You may need to add more water if it’s to thick or dry.


Crack one egg into a small bowl along with the almond milk & cinnamon, whisk until all combined.


Then take your porridge off the heat and quickly stir through the egg mixture until all combined.


Then pop the pot of porridge back onto the heat for 2 mins while continuously stirring.


Serve with cinnamon & maple or fresh fruit & nut butter and Enjoy!
