About the Recipe
Chickpeas are a great source of fiber. They contain protein, vitamins & minerals.
I use them to make Biscuits, Curries, Buddha bowls, roast them til they are crispy like croutons, coat them in dark chocolate, and even use the liquid “Aquafaba” to make a chocolate mouse!

Ingredients
1 can drained chickpeas (keep the liquid)
3 Tbs olive oil (Another one of my top 10 staples)
Squeeze of lemon juice
1-2 garlic cloves
1 T Tahini (optional but adds more depth of flavour).
1/2 tsp Sumac
Season with Salt & Pepper
2 ice cubes ( I dunno how but they make hummus extra creamy )
Preparation
Place everything in a food processor and blend until creamy. Taste and season more if you need too. If it's a bit thick you can add the chickpea juice known as aquafaba!
Store in a jar , drizzle with a little more olive oil and a dusting of Sumac. Will keep fresh in the fridge for approx 4-5 days.
Great on a salad, with crackers, as a side to your roasted veges, on toast or even off the spoon!
